An almost opaque deep red, with a very expressive bouquet of charming, sweet aromas: dried fruit, black cherries, raspberries, figs, black currants, sweet spice, elegant floral hints, and a light streak of graphite. The presence of oak and vanilla is strong. In the mouth, this wine is a dynamite: dry, full-bodied, with velvety, mature tannins, and the acidity to balance it all. Instead of standing out, its high alcoholic content offers maturity and warmth. Each sip is a true mouthful, that you rather chew than sip, and has an impressive, long aftertaste. Age it for more than 15 years
Enjoy with: Complex, gamey dishes with boar, meat casseroles, and rich, aged cheese.
Serve at: 16 °C–18 °C
