Ardbeg Wee Beastie is the most recent addition to the distillery’s ultimate range. Launched in 2020, it essentially paved the way for five-year-old single malt whiskies.
It is made from 100% Scottish barley and water from the company-owned ancient Uigeadail Spring. Aged for five years in a creative combination of barrels from bourbon and Oloroso sherry.
Taste Experience:
Though it boasts the shortest ageing period currently on the market, Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a little monster, as its name implies. To the nose, it brings an explosion of herbs, spices, coffee and much more, while the mouth is complex and spicy, with a long finish that leaves an aftertaste full of intriguing contrasts. Served neat or with a splash of mineral water.
