Krug House owns a small, walled-in vineyard (clos) in the village of just 0.68 hectares. The Krug House Clos d\u2019 Ambonnay label is produced from this tiny plot only in exceptional years, making it perhaps the top blanc de noirs champagne on the market. The year 2002 was mild and dry in the Champagne region and produced healthy and perfectly ripened grapes. The Krug House&#8217;s Chef de Cave decided that the year would give a very elegant expression of the Clos d\u2019 Ambonnay label, with great potential for ageing, and so decided to release it. Clos d\u2019 Ambonnay 2002 has aged in the bottle with its yeasts for 15 years. Only 4,743 bottles (750 ml) and 200 magnums were produced that year.<br \/>\r\n<strong>Taste Experience:<\/strong><br \/>\r\nClos d\u2019 Ambonnay 2002 is a rare and unique champagne, not just because of its limited edition, but also because of the unforgettable experience it can offer. It has the delightful aroma of freshly baked brioche and well-ripened fruit on the nose, and a silky mouthfeel with a long, satisfying aftertaste.
