\r\nMaturation<\/p>\r\n
The maturation of Hennessy V.S.O.P centres on the expertly judged use of barrels of different ages. This complex aging regime produces a highly expressive, complete and harmonious cognac. The key element of the maturation involves partially used barrels, which have held between two and four eaux-de-vie previously. Just a small proportion of the eaux-de-vie are aged in new barrels, with the aim of taking on their wonderful mahogany colour, a delicate smoky tone, and above all a great consistency of character. Finally, some older barrels are used to bring an extra level of elegance and finesse to the finished blend, adding a livelier note of subtle spice.

Blending<\/p>\r\n
Creating the blend requires expert judgment in balancing all the various characteristics derived from the respective styles of maturation. The Master Blender and his Tasting Committee make a careful selection from all the eaux-de-vie reserved for the V.S.O.P blend, to choose those displaying the greatest balance. In this way they put together a cognac of great character, poised and composed, that achieves a complete harmony of power and finesse. And so, Hennessy V.S.O.P displays balanced aromas of light tobacco, fresh vanilla and toasty notes, all coming together perfectly within its great richness of texture.<\/p>\r\n

Nose :
