Ardbeg Ten is, without exaggeration, one of the best-known single malt Scotch whiskies and one of the most representative of the Isle of Islay’s ‘peaty’ whiskies. A multi-award-winning spirit, it was named World Whisky of the Year in 2008.
It is made from 100% Scottish barley and water from the company-owned ancient Uigeadail Spring. The local peat, in plentiful supply in Islay, that is used to produce it adds a peatiness measured at 50 ppm. Matured for 10 years in first-fill and second-fill bourbon casks.
Taste Experience:
Ardbeg Ten is distinguished by its strong aromatic character in a union of smoky peat and sea iodine. Despite its highly aromatic intensity and strong alcohol content, it has an elegant and round mouthfeel. Served neat or with a splash of mineral water. Alcohol content: 46% ABV
