KRUG ROSÉ

by KRUG

CHAMPAGNE

Contrary to the wishes of the founder, who had never imagined a rosé champagne, the 5th generation at the house’s helm created Krug Rosé and at the same time began a new chapter in the rosé champagne category, quickly claiming one of the top positions. Following the familiar system of the Krug house, the Krug Rosé is a non-vintage champagne, but is released as a new edition each time to express the particularities of the specific year.
Krug Rosé is made from all three of the permitted varieties (Pinot Noir, Meunier, Chardonnay) and from grapes harvested from all of the house’s vineyards. A red Pinot Noir (11%) is added to the base wine to give it its pink colour and the fullness that characterises it. It is created from a blend of 22 base wines from 7 different years (from 2006 through 2012), allowed to mature in the bottle for 7 years and has a low sweetness (dosage).
Taste Experience:
Krug Rosé is a champagne for those who love red wine and red meat. It is richly aromatic and refined, but strong enough to accompany heavy dishes based on beef
