Pampero Especial is the first Venezuelan aged rum, matured in ex-bourbon barrels, offering a perfect balance between smoothness and complexity. In Venezuela, it is known as “caballito frenao”, in homage to the iconic Llanero and his spirit of freedom.

The bottle’s new design captures the entrepreneurial spirit of the House of Pampero, its provenance and its people. Especial is a rich, golden rum that evokes the deep, bold spirit of its Latin American roots and the unique character of its birthplace. We preserve this vital story with a design that glimpses into Pampero’s past and brings it into the present day.

The label shape is inspired by the shape of the barrels the founders used to create this distinctive blend.

With rich golds we celebrate the passion and belief behind Hernandez’ ambition, evoke the beauty of the Caribbean coastline and hint at the honey and vanilla tasting notes within.

APPEARANCE: golden, bright, and clean.

NOSE: aromas of oak, vanilla, caramel, and sweet fruit.

TASTE: warm and enveloping with notes of honey, fruit, and spices.
