400 Conejos is Mexico’s No 1 Mezcal. In the state of Oaxaca, carefully selected Espadin agaves are harvested and then cooked in traditional cone-shaped wood ovens. Finally, the agave-filled oven is covered with cloth and earth and cooked for 3 to 5 days, hence the smoky aromas and flavors in our mezcal.
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: Clear with silver shades. Excellent body.
AROMA: Rounded and light, with wood & agave notes enhanced by a subtle smoky aroma.
FLAVOUR: Citrus, spices, fruit.
FINISH: Well-balanced & short.
400 Conejos is recommended straight with a slice of grapefruit or orange. It can also replace tequila at any Tequila cocktail to add a bit of smoke (e.g. Smoky Margarita).
