Much has changed since 1834 when William Teacher started selling whisky in the little shop he was operating, and 1850 when he inaugurated the first of his renowned Teacher`s Dram Shops. Teacher`s is today one of the top 5 whiskies in the UK and exported to 150 countries. What has remained unchanged is its reputation among the highest quality blended Scotch whiskies, which is owed to its high malt content, up to 45%, when most of internationally marketed blended whiskies have a mere 33% malt content. Thirty-six different malts, with most promiment Ardmore malt and Glendronach malt, are blended with select grain whiskies, giving Teacher`s its rich aroma, full-bodied, silky flavour and clear aftertaste.
