Grapes are hand-harvested and sun-dried for 8–10 days, followed by pressing in a pneumatic press. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts at controlled temperatures of 18–20 °C. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for at least 5 years.
A rich dessert wine with a caramel color featuring russet and coppery highlights. Lively aromas reminiscent of traditional spoon sweets (cherry and grape), dried figs, marzipan, and maple syrup. The aromatics are complemented by sweet spice notes, followed by a velvety finish of salted butter caramel. A festive wine made for relaxation and enjoyment, with a round and well-structured body.
Pairs excellently with rich, flavorful cheeses, dried fruits, spoon sweets, and dark chocolate ganache. As a dessert wine, Vinsanto can also be enjoyed entirely on its own.
