Dry Red Wine

Protected Geographical Indication: Peloponnese

Variety Composition: 70% Agiorgitiko, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vineyard: Privately-owned vineyards in Koutsi, Nemea (for Agiorgitiko) and Tegea, Arcadia (for Cabernet Sauvignon).

SOIL TYPE
Agiorgitiko: Clay loam soils with limestone, semi-mountainous at 380 meters with steep slopes ensuring excellent drainage.
Cabernet Sauvignon: Clay rocky soil at 750 meters with a continental climate.

WINEMAKING
Classic red vinification with a long extraction period of 25 days. The winemaking process is carried out under controlled temperature conditions, from the initial stage of prefermentation cold-soaking to the end. Aging lasts approximately 24 months in French oak barrels (70% new, 30% second-hand) and 24 months in bottles.


TASTING NOTES
Deep red color with ruby hints and mature red fruit aromas, plump blackberries, sour cherry jam with notes of eucalyptus and pepper. Rich mouthfeel with well-structured tannins and an intense aftertaste. Suitable for bottle aging up to 10 years.


FOOD PAIRING
Red meat, ribeye steak, rooster cooked in wine, traditional Greek beef stew in tomato sauce.
