Dry Red Wine

Protected Designation of Origin: Nemea

Variety Composition: 100% Agiorgitiko

Vineyard: Privately-owned vineyard of 8.5 hectares at Dourmiza in Koutsi, Nemea.

SOIL TYPE
Chalky clay, semi-mountainous, at 380 meters altitude with large slopes ensuring excellent drainage.
Age-plant formation: 50-year-old vines trained to bilateral cordon trellis system.
Harvest period: 2nd fortnight of September.

WINEMAKING
Classic red vinification with a long maceration period of 25 days. The entire winemaking process is carried out under controlled temperature conditions, from the initial stage of cold maceration until the end. Aging lasts 12 months in French oak (70% new, 30% second-year barrels) and 6 months in the bottle.


TASTING NOTES
A full-bodied red wine with abundant aromas of red fruits, notes of eucalyptus, and green pepper. Fleshy and rich in the mouth, with soft, ripe tannins and a velvety aftertaste.


FOOD PAIRING
T-bone steak, rooster cooked in wine with pasta.
